Breakfast pizza. Store bought flat bread crust, mushrooms, shallots, tomatoes, green onion and cheese with eggs baked on top.
Hurricane Sandy survival foods. Chicken and nachos.
Made mushroom soup last night, loosely based on this recipe. Instead of sauteing, I roasted the mushrooms with some leeks, thyme and garlic before adding to stock. Then I blended the mixture, added sherry and some sauteed mushrooms at the end. Didn’t really need the milk or cream. It was heaven.
Tuna Explosion from Sushi Hana in Towson. Crab, avocado and jalapeno wrapped in tuna. It IS as good as it sounds.
Emergency dinner last week turned out awesome. Browned some sausage, added zucchini and mushrooms, covered in jarred tomato sauce and eggs. Baked until eggs were done. (Next time I will cook them a bit less so they are runny.)
One of my favorite dinners last month. Grilled hot wings and a scrambled egg and avocado taco. Random pairing but great. Eaten over the sink like all great meals.
Baked mozzarella and basil sticks wrapped in a wonton wrapper.
